Get six stars in all and run around frantically trying to not get arrested and eventually you will find the tank. Note that if you press A+B, a homing missile will shoot locking on to a random target. There are also other big trucks with six stars and other vehicles with any other star wanted levels.

Stage Select:
At the main menu, press Left, Right, Up, Down, L, R (You'll hear a chime), then hold the Start button and press A. A new 'Pick Level' option will appear at the bottom of the main menu. After entering this code, you can also press B at the main menu to view the games credits.
Cheat Codes:
At any time during gameplay, hold A+B and press Start; you'll hear a signal and the words 'Cheat Mode On' will appear on the screen, and your character's coordinates will also be displayed. Now you can enter any of the following codes during gameplay (not while paused):

• Borgnine Taxi

Activate the optional taxi missions and deliver fifty fares to unlock the Borgnine Taxi at the hideout in Portland.

• Cheat Mode

While playing press A + B + Start.

• Cruise Control

While in a car, hold Up + R (like you would to sound the horn). Hold those buttons, and release the gas. Your car will continue at the same speed you were at when beginning the sequence.

• Display Coordinates

Press Start + A + B during game play.

• Down the river

In the level 'Down the river'. The easiest way to win is to hit the thugs 2 times with a sword and they'll surely come with you. | Submitted by Akmal

• Easy Money

Kill the people on the streets with big yellow coats. They usually drop about $1,000 each.

• F-1 Racer

Win all eighteen races in the game. Then, go to where you raced last and the F-1 Racer will be waiting there.

• Flame Thrower

Activate the optional fire truck missions and reach level 20 to get this weapon at your hideout.

• Free Rocket Launcher Ammo

Once you’re on the mission Pocket Rocket, do the mission until you get the Rocket Launcher. When you get it go to your hideout, save and quit. When you begin the game you'll still have the Rocket Launcher and the mission is over. Keep on doing this until you have all the ammo you need.

• Gain one star

• Get 25,000 money?

If you are far away from a Pay N' Spray or do not have $1,000, stop at your hideout. Save, then reload your game. You will have no wanted level.

• Health

Cheat Mode is activated when A + B Buttons are held down and the START Button is pushed. Health is restored to 100: LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN, B, B.

• Health Pickup

Complete 9 paramedic missions.

• Infinite stamina

Activate the optional paramedic missions and reach level 12 to be able to run indefinitely.

• Lose one star

Complete 12 Paramedic missions to never get tired when running.

Body Armor: Collect 30 Hidden Packages

• Police Bribes

For every ten vigilante missions completed, you will get a police bribe at your hideout. The maximum number you can get is six.

• Rockstar Games logo

On the side of your first hideout is a Rockstar Games logo.

• Set Speed

Hold UP + R while in a car to set the speed without pressing the gas.

• Tank

Get a six star wanted level. When you see a tank drive by, take it and drive it to your hideout. Save your game and when you reload, you will have no wanted level and a tank.

• Tank controls

Press A + B to shoot. The tank rounds have a homing ability and will follow the nearest car/pedestrian. Also, the smaller and weaker cars will explode when you run them over.
